Heart Land is benefitting from a "Trash or Treasure" on-line auction, September 1 through 30. Aunt Esther from The Chronicle of the Horse forums is the celebrity MC. Donated auction items are being accepted until August 31. This is a perfect opportunity to pass along something great (or something awful!), horsey or non-horsey, to help a wonderful cause. Or just bid at the auction! Every bid gets you another chance to win a door prize. Details available at www.specialhorses.org.

Dancing Horse Dressage & CT member, Katherine Kaltenbach, was recently in a very serious automobile accident. The club has sent flowers to her on behalf of Dancing Horse. This is a very difficult time for her family and they are in need of your kind thoughts and prayers. The Trading Post, feed store, in Vero Beach, has set up a special fund to help them feed their horses during this difficult ordeal. If you are in a position to help, you can call the store at 772-778-3311 to donate towards feed and hay. Any amount would be helpful. If you would like to call or send cards to Katherine or her family, she is at Orlando Regional Medical Center, 1414 Kuhl Ave., Orlando, FL 32806. |
