Meeting Minutes
- In Attendance:

- Secretaries Minutes-August minutes on website were approved.
- Treasurer’s Report-Financial report given and approved.
- Business
- 2011-12 Directory Status
Barbara Brooke-Reese will be having directory printed 9/9/11 and mailed shortly to members and last years’ non-member exhibitors. Sandy to provide Barbara with that list.
- Shows October Show – 10/2/11
- Ring Transportation and Storage
Trailer insurance would only cover when parked. Personal pulling trailer would be covered on their own insurance. Barbara Nagle gave report on cost of a 16’ trailer based on used trailers on Craigs list. Cost estimated to be approx.$1500-$2000. Discussion about possibly selling current ring and purchasing one with shorter rails to save on trailer costs since the length of rails is cause for a long trailer. Sandy will look into shorter railed ring.
- Volunteers for Ring Set up/tear down & show day
Ring Set up will be 2 PM (as of 9/20/11 moved to 12PM). Volunteer sheet past around. Sandy will fill in positions fill at meeting and then circulate the list to members.
- Judges Trailer/Tent-Sandy will check with a few members about trailer for judge. Tent would be 2nd option or even judging out of a car if necessary. Sandy will bring table for judge.
- Concessions-Suzee Norris will be supplying concessions to benefit the OTTB thoroughbred rescue. The show program backcover will feature her charity.
- Prizes-ribbons & towels have been received.
- November Show – 11/6/11; February Show – 2/5/11; March Show 3/11/11-judge hired for November. Sandy still working on spring judges.
- Sharon Poulin Clinic
- October 22. Wittsend Farm in Malabar. Christie still confirming dates with Sharon. Clinic will be advertised as one day, but has potential of 2 days if entries warrant. Insurance has been paid.
- Clinic Flyer/Secretary-flyer and entry form will be posted when available. Christie will serve as clinic secretary.
- Closing Date for clinic entry-Opening date for clinic will be Oct 1 and will accept entries until full.
- Club Communication Methods
- Yahoo Group, Facebook Page, Email list-discussion about ways to communicate to members. Trying to determine if the new yahoo group is needed since only a few have joined. Barbara Brooke-Reese to email Barbara Nagle and Sandy info on dropbox which is used for the email blasts that Barbara BR does.

- After a review of Bylaws, group decided to limit directors to 4, so voting will be used to determine which of the nominations for directors will hold the positions.
Nominations open November meeting. Election held at the December Meeting.
- Next meeting date and location-Oct 13 (as of 9/20/11 meeting will be Oct 6) at Sandy’s house.
