BUSINESS:

December show report:
Ran smoothly, but we still have parking issues since there are many passenger vehicles taking spots for trailers. We will definitely need a parking guide volunteer to help organize at the March shows.

2007-08 show series 2008 dates:
March 2 and March 30

Location:
Wittsend Farm: 4-H riders will use all 4 shows so will be participating at both March shows.

There was a concern about entries for the last show since we are selling out 2 rings. Members will still get priority and opening date for entries for March 2 show will be Feb 04. For the March 30 show, entries must be MAILED to Sandy starting the Monday after the Mar 2 show. Entries cannot be hand delivered at the March 2 show because there is a fear that the entry and money could be lost among the paperwork at the show. Entries should be mailed to Sandy Gillespie.

Remaining shows:
Sandy with Barbara assisting will be show secretaries. Cindy has hired the Ring 1 judge already.

Volunteers:
all positions needed for both shows. Please sign up for any open position on volunteer chart. We need a parking guide in March due to continued tight parking for trailers.

We will offer the walk class again in March and will consider working this class up to a qualifying year-end award class for future show series. Many participants at the convention were interested in hearing about our walk class.

USDF Convention Orlando Report:
Sandy attended Board of Governor meeting from 8-noon. Christie and Sandy both attended the TD course and enjoyed it. Sandy felt more GMO meetings were needed at the convention since they were very informative. Full report of convention will be on the website.

DHD&CT Reward Report:
Christie Slayton rode Emma Morse's horse, Tex in the recent clinic by Shawn Filley-Fennessey. Tex is in rehab since having a deep flexor tendon tear and he did very well in the clinic. Shawn felt that it was a little too early to start much work on leg yields, but gave Tex and Christie a good workout on other skills. Christie is trying to have her return to provide more clinics next year.

By-law Committee:
Volunteers needed to review by-laws and DHDCT rules. Sandy has offered to lead thi. project.

Walk Class
Walk class will be offered in Dec. Copies of tests distributed at meeting and approved. Tests will be posted on website. We are anticipating approximately 4 youth riders as of now.

March Shows:
Entry form will be updated with closing dates and checks payable info. Checks should be made out to DHD, not to the show secretary. This instruction will be highlighted on future entry forms.

Volunteers will be needed for ALL positions. Sandy will remain as Show Secretary, but not show manager.
